In short periods when the heat is also felt in Colico with his wife and son looking a bit 'to cool off in the mountains. For the destination you are spoiled for choice, there are many alternatives that we have from top Lario: Orobie Rhaetian and east, Valsassina south west Western Lario, Valchiavenna Valbregaglia Engadine and north. For each of these branch lines and the side valleys, so the choice is truly endless.
One of our favorite destinations is the Upper Engadine. A nice walk you can do just come to the Maloja Pass (1.815m) is the one that runs alongside the lake Segl / Sils on the southern bank, arrives in the eponymous town about 1h30, comfortable pitch.
Among other things, to return to the Maloja Pass there are three options: walk with the bus or the shipping line linking Europe's highest in 40 'with Maloja Sils Maria.

the trail along the lake there are numerous benches, a couple of fountains, a bar / restaurant, a few small beaches that are the delight of children.
The trail is also a bicycle, except in the central part, where the cycles are diverted for a while longer at high altitude.
the GPS track with photos carry on Gpsed and EveryTrail there is an error on the initial starting point, the logger has probably done a bit 'of confusion ... spells to the beauty of the landscape.
